Programmes > SELECTORS > #6 NTU CCA x Earth Observatory Singapore SELECTORS #6: NTU CCA x Earth Observatory Singapore Selectors returns on 7 March 2026 with a special edition inspired by The Observatory’s participation in the inaugural STAR Residencies at NTU CCA Singapore and Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS). This event brings together artists, scientists and new friends from the residency for an intimate listening session. Guests will share playlists shaped by their distinctive practices — ranging from deep listening and quiet wonder to volcanic landscapes, environmental tension, adaptation, and renewal. The residency has nurtured rich friendships and collaborations between the artists and researchers. This evening offers an opportunity for the public to meet some of these collaborators and experience the diverse sounds and ideas that have emerged from the programme. Ute Meta Bauer: Founding Director of NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, a renowned curator, educator, and professor whose work fosters interdisciplinary dialogues between art, science, and environmental themes. Ng Hui Hsien: Singapore artist interested in wonder and stillness. An educator and occasional curator, she is a fellow STAR resident and studio neighbour of The Observatory. Lauriane Chardot: Geoscientist turned science communicator and knowledge broker at EOS. She connects communities, disciplines, and ideas to transform hazards into resilience and stories of hope. Benoît Taisne: Volcanologist and geophysicist at EOS who studies how the Earth communicates through vibrations and signals. His playlist journeys through volcanic references and music tied to fieldwork in the Caribbean and La Réunion. The evening promises a compelling blend of sounds, stories, and meaningful exchange. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and stay for the full programme. Saturday, 7 March 2026 6:00 – 10:00 PM Goodman Arts Centre (Blk L, 01-49) Admission: By donation |
